Majestic’s Designer outfit


Majestic Beach has revamped its look for Cannes 2006, with designer Antoine Dray and his ADR Production Company reinventing the space for the third year in a row. This year’s ‘Majestic’s 59’ includes an outdoor art gallery, foam rubber furniture, video installations, and a revamped pontoon. For lucky A-listers, fahsionista Stéfanie Renoma (of Paris boutique Komplex) will offer a changing room for the stars to pick from 300 items.

And if the Med and the famed beach restaurant aren’t enough of a draw, journalists can be lured by the Majestic’s high-tech press lounge and five TV stages. No wonder an average afternoon will see 1,200 guests hitting the beach. Major Majestic Beach events include the Marché du Film opening night party tonight, the Russia Day party (vodka and caviar served to 1,200 guests) on May 20, and Media Asia’s The Banquet party on May 22. Other notable party-goers will include Europa Corp and France Televisions. And of course we’re keen on the Dubai International Film Festival Arabian Nights-themed party, which Screen is co-hosting on May 23. Bring on the camels…
